Going to introduce a more chillax track today this Tuesday. I can just sick back and relax to this kind of music. High Five!

A very talented acoustic guitar musician singing his original “Could You Please” and very nicely transitioning to a cover of “The Scientist” by Coldplay. I’m always on the look out for great acoustic guitar players, absolutely love Javier’s style of playing. High Five!

I have a soft spot for talented female vocalists who sing over piano. Joy Ike has hit that spot. She reminds me of a mix of Sara Bereilles and Corinne Bailey Ray. Her songs are soothing to the ears and lyrically poetic. I particularly loved her track “Give Me Truth”:
Also check out the title track of her new album “Rumors”:
I’m always on the lookout for independent musicians. I love to hear what musicians come up with for the love of music — because obviously at this point there is hardly (if at all) any money to be made. I get even more excited when I find artists from the Bay Area!
I just discovered Robot Science today. His sound reminds me of an instrumental version of Postal Service. He makes heavy use of the square soundwave to make synth melodies. He is an EDM musician that is light and relaxing to the ear…definately not club stuff. Anyways I love his stuff, especially his song “September”
Also check out “The Nothing of Backwards Motion”:
(His email published on his site also leads me to believe he is a UC Berkeley student. If so, go bears! If not… go bears!)

Matt Stevens – Dolls House by mattstevensguitar
I got sent a track by Matt Stevens – which led me to explore some of his other material on soundcloud. He has an awesome acoustic guitar vibe to his stuff – very rhythmic and soothing. (I’d start following him on soundcloud, he has an awesome track called “Eleven” probably coming soon.) High Five!
Super chill lounge-ish remix of an awesome track. I love John Hopkin’s electronic work. (He produced the opening to the Coldplay album) High Five!
